Speaker and Poster Instructions

For speakers:

  • Unless otherwise stated in the programme, talks are 12 minutes long, with an additional 3 minutes reserved for questions from the audience (15 minutes total).
  • Presentations need to be accessible to a broad audience, not only those who work in your field of Astronomy. This is especially the case for plenary talks.
  • We support presentation slides in Powerpoint, Keynote and PDF format.
  • For ease of use, please try to stick to a maximum filesize of 100 MB.
  • We recommend you upload your slides by the end of Sunday of May 12. We can not guarantee your slides to be ready if uploaded only minutes before the start of your session.
  • We will show your presentation with our SLOC laptop(s), and it is not possible to connect your own laptop or device to the audio-visual setup.
  • We will provide the opportunity to test your slides at the venue in the break or ~ 30 minutes before each session.
  • We will supply a wireless presenter / clicker.

For posters:

  • A0-size is preferred.
  • Only a portrait poster-format will be supported.
  • Please print the poster yourself and arrange, for example, a poster-tube for ease of transport.
  • We will provide poster-boards, along with means to stick your poster to the board (e.g. tape, thumbtacks).
